MAIN INGREDIENT:
1 Cup of very ripe bananas (smashed)
½ Cup (1 stick) softened butter (mantequilla)
1¼ Cups sugar (azúcar)
2 eggs (huevos)
1 Tsp Baking Soda (soda para hornear)
4 Tbs Sour Cream (natilla)
1 ½ Cup All Purpose Flour (harina)
¼ Tsp Salt (sal)
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract (extracto de vainilla)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix together butter and sugar and add in lightly beaten eggs
Add Sour Cream and Baking Soda to mixture and beat well (by hand).
Fold in mashed bananas. Mix well
Add salt and vanilla and continue to fold in.
Add flour slowly, continually mixing all ingredients until flour is completely blended in.
For Banana Bread - Pour contents into bread pan which has been adequately greased and floured.
For Banana Muffins - use an adequately greased and floured muffin pan or use appropriate paper muffin cups.
Bake for 35-45 minutes until bread/muffins are complete. Test for doneness with a wooden toothpick.
Let cool then sprinkle with powdered sugar
